I got very lucky when Allison found us on The Knot and decided that we were the right studio for her and her fiance Todd's engagement photo's.  They came all the way from Michigan to scope out wedding sites for Spring of 2011 and to take a little break from the cold Michigan winter.  We went out to Huntington Beach State Park and had so much fun (despite the not as warm as we would like weather :)  By the time we were done my face hurt because we were smiling and laughing so much.  They are such a fun couple and you can tell they really enjoy each others company :)  I think they chose Magnolia Plantation in Charleston as their wedding site.

So from the moment I met Kelly & Michael I knew we would get along just fine.  She's a school teacher with a heart of gold for kids and Michael, as laid back as he is, is in Food & Beverage which is no easy job :)  Michael asked Kelly to marry him on one of the bridges on the Coastal Carolina University campus.  So we started our session there and since the baby of their lives, the most adorable Golden Retreiver named Duke was there when the questions was popped, he was there again for this session.  Duke had everyone entertained the whole time just by being there and being cute (it wasn't hard for him I promise you :)  Next we went to the beach, because who doesn't like the beach!  They even took their shoes off to walk in the water (personally I think they were crazy because it was BEYOND COLD!! ;)

Thanks guys so much for allowing me to capture these for you.  I can't wait for the wedding!!!  I know it's going to be so much fun :)

So I have these fabulous Wedding clients that just had their first bundle of joy, Holden, in November so when they called me to say they would be visiting from NY and would I take his 3 month pix, you couldn't have paid me enough NOT to be there!  Let me just tell you, this kid is tooooooo cute!!  You can already tell how much personality he has and he can't even sit up yet :)  Allison's Mom and Dad were very gracious and let us use their home to photograph the family.  Allison's Dad was a fabulous assistant for me, holding reflectors and such, which he said was fine as long as he didn't have to be in any of the pictures :)  Holden actually gave us 1 1/2 hours to work with which is unheard of for his age.  Usually I've got about 1/2 an hour tops before the kid decideds "That's it, I've had enough!".

So, I know January weddings are the norm but Junell & Mark are not your normal couple.  The both work for the Carolina Opry here in town.  Mark is a dancer and Junell is in charge of the place :)  I met them more than a year ago and I have been looking forward to this wedding since then.  We had the best time at their engagement session and her bridal was a BLAST!  The wedding we were expecting to be crazy but it turned out to be a very classy & fun affair.   It was a little cold and rainy but the Marriott Grand Dunes provided us a great backdrop. The cake by Croissants was FABULOUS!  The reception was beautifully decorated and the flowers were by Flowers in the Forest.

You guys are one of the most special couples I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know and working with.  And don't worry Mark, after I have this Baby in July I promise I will buy you that Drink ;)
